New Spurs signing DeAndre Yedlin bags quality assist for Seattle v Chicago

USA right back DeAndre Yedlin was confirmed as a Spurs player on Wednesday night European time.

Yedlin is staying with the Seattle Sounders until the end of the MLS season but it is not clear whether he will head to Tottenham at the end of the calendar year or only start playing for Mauricio Pochettino’s side in 2015/2016.

Having been left out of recent Seattle Sounders game due to the Spurs transfer, Yedlin was brought back in for their 6-0 rout of Chicago Fire in the US Open Cup semi-final.

Once again, Yedlin showed off his undoubted attacking qualities with a terrific assist for Kenny Cooper to score the fifth goal of the game.

New Spurs signing Yedlin produced a terrific cross into the box – notice the commentary: “lovely baaall!”
