It looks like Arsene Wenger may have bagged a bargain in new Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo.
Just a day after Arsenal announced the free transfer from Auxerre of the 20-year-old, Sanogo scored his third goal in four games at the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey.
Sanogo claimed the third France goal, galloping away and finishing past the Turkey keeper, to seal a win that eventually finished 4-1 to an impressive Les Bleus side that includes Paul Pogba and highly-rated Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.
Considering how certain players at the Under-20 World Cup, such as Portugal’s Bruma, have jumped up in value after good performances in Turkey, Arsenal may have showed impeccable timing to secure Sanogo before other clubs could move in.
