Following Nike’s superb set of ads marketing their new pink football boot, the Mercurial Vapor, Adidas have responded with their own new football ads for the F50 TUNiT, which are sure to have tongues wagging.
The first video finds Xabi Alonso in control of a clay pigeon machine, with his fellow Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard taking aim with the ball. After one trial, the Reds’ captain does the impossible, knocking the clay out of the sky.
Is it true? Is it real? Who cares, because it’s pretty cool.

And the Adidas ads keep coming.
The second ad finds Michael Ballack taking aim at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground, as his plucky assistant holds up a hooler-hoop which the German is challenged to place the ball through.
And who said Germans have no sense of humour?
With a funny twist, the ad can be seen here.
Next up is Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor.
In a somewhat confusing ad, the Togolese forward uses his Adidas boot to play the famous mobile phone game of Snake, in which Ade himself takes the role of the snake as his runs round the pitch picking up stars.
More trippy than funny, the ad can be seen here.
Lastly, the trippy angle keeps flowing as Real Madrid’s Arjen Robben finds himself alone in the dressing room, seizing upon his mental powers to stud up his boots.
