Nacer Chadli’s 2nd goal v QPR had a build-up of 48 Spurs passes (double the longest EPL goal in 2013-14 )

The good people at Opta Joe pulled out a great stat about Nacer Chadli’s second goal in Tottenham’s 4-0 demolition of QPR on Sunday.

Tottenham managed to take QPR to the cleaners for their third goal of the game, as the Lilywhites pieced together 48 passes before Erik Lamela eventually crossed the ball for Chadli to head home.

As pointed out by Opta, that passing sequence was twice as long as any Premier League goal scored in 2013-14.

Tottenham have now won their opening two games of the season without conceding a goal.
