Miss of the weekend: Amr Zaki (Man City-Wigan) or Darren Bent (Tottenham-Pompey)?

Ronny Rosenthal can no doubt break a smile.

This weekend the Premier League has witnessed two of the worst misses of the season, and on Saturday that fate was all Amr Zaki’s.

The Egyptian, having scored 11 times already this season, was left wishing the ground would swallow him up when, unmarked in the six-yard area and faced with an open goal, he planted his header over the bar after Lee Cattermole’s effort had rebounded off the crossbar.

But on Sunday night Darren Bent laid his claim to the worse miss of the weekend, and with Spurs deep in a relegation battle his blunder could not have arrived at a worse time.

Unmarked, and with acres of space at the back post, Dazzling Dazzer managed to completely balls-up his opportunity to earn all three points for Spurs, steering a point-blank header wide of David James’ post.

So the question is, which was worse?
