Milan playmaker Keisuke Honda continues fine start to the season with goal for Japan v Honduras

In the last few years, AC Milan have had a tendency to pick up players that were past their prime. It’s a transfer strategy that can pay off. The player acquired can still provide a significant contribution and also sell shirts.

When Keisuke Honda arrived at the club in January, the form he showed in the second half of the season gave reason to believe that the playmaker was also past his best.

However, Honda has proved his critics wrong this season. He’s scored six goals and provided two assists in 11 league games to show that all he needed was time to adapt to Italy. The faith new manager Pippo Inzaghi has shown in him has also benefited Honda.

He continued his fine start to the campaign with a goal for Japan against Honduras last night. You can see it in the video above.
