Mike Dean and Arsenal have a long acrimonious history together and if there is one referee Gooners worry about it is the official from Heswall, Wirral.
Three seasons ago, Mike Dean was accused of celebrating a Tottenham goal at the Emirates in the north London derby that Harry Redknapp’s side went on to lose 5-2 following an epic Arsenal comeback.
Earlier this season, Mike Dean courted controversy after his performance during Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.
So, when Mike Dean was appointed referee for this Sunday’s north London derby, Gooners started to fret.
Surely, the most important factors going into the big Premier League encounter are that Arsenal are in much better form, have two days extra rest and Spurs seem to be lurching into crisis and have struggled to perform well against the top teams all season.
Nevertheless, Arsenal fans are worried…
