Memory Lane: Arsenal’s biggest all-time victories under Arsene Wenger (video)

“At first I thought, ‘What does this Frenchman know about football? He wears glasses and looks more like a schoolteacher. He’s not going to be as good as George [Graham]. Does he even speak English properly?'”- Tony Adams.

History has been made today for Arsenal. 13-years-ago to the day, a little known Frenchman was brought in from Nagoya Grampus Eight to take over the reigns of the HIghbury giants from Bruce Rioch. On arriving in Britain the headlines famously splashed with “Arsene who?” Today the whole world has heard of The Professor.

Not only has Arsene Wenger established himself as the most successful manager in Arsenal’s history, today he surpassed George Allison as the club’s longest serving manager.

Taking a trip down memory lane, Arsenal’s biggest victories under Wenger can be seen here.
