Match Highlights: Arsenal’s Wellington Silva makes his Fluminense debut (video)

At the start of the year, Arsenal signed 17-year-old Brazilian striker Wellington Silva from Fluminense for a fee of £3.5 million. Silva will not be available to Arsene Wenger until January 2011, with the Gunners having paid only 65% of the transfer fee now, with the rest of the sum set to be paid on the striker’s arrival at the Emirates.

Last weekend Silva made his first team debut for his current club Fluminense against Friburguense in the Carioca cup, and the striker made an instant impression with his first goal for the senior team as well as providing an assist for Everton to net the third in a 5-1 mauling.

Wearing the number 10, highlights of Wellington Silva’s goalscoring debut for Flu can be seen here.
