Marseille pay tribute to Mathieu Valbuena with video of his best moments with club [Video]

Mathieu ‘Petit Velo’ Valbuena has made the surprise decision to sign for Russian club Dynamo Moscow, in a  £6m move.

It was made clear to Valbuena that new Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa wasn’t counting on him, so he was left to look for a new club, though his choice has been met with curiosity in France, when QPR were believed to be interested.

Anyhow, after 8 years of service to OM, Valbuena has left, and the club have paid tribute to him with a nice video reel highlighting his best moments.

And there were some great ones: that goal at Anfield to beat Liverpool in the Champions League, and the last minute winner against Dortmund in 2011 to qualify for the Champi0ns League last 16.

Capable of the best and the worst, Valbuena’s 8 years at Marseille were full of highs and lows, but considering his humble beginnings in Conference football, he didn’t do too badly.
