Just two points separate Manchester United and West Ham in the Premier League. And the way their respective seasons are going, the side from East London could well win at Old Trafford tomorrow and pip their more illustrious hosts to the fourth Champions League place.

Both Uniteds will have been excited to see Manchester City struggle to a 0-0 draw at Norwich on Saturday which gives both a chance to secure a Champions League spot. Manchester United face City next Sunday…

Louis van Gaal once again comes into this game under real pressure, a fact we expect the West Ham away support, expected to number over 8,000, will make very clear to the Dutchman throughout.

Manchester United produced one of their worst performances of the season, a 2-0 defeat at Liverpool in the first leg of their Europa League tie.

David De Gea was undoubtedly Manchester United’s man of the match at Anfield and it is difficult to see how Louis van Gaal still holds the faith of those who will likely fire him at the end of the season.

West Ham meanwhile are on an excellent run, that saw them win three games in a week, with their 3-2 comeback victory at Everton last Saturday particularly sweet.

Dimitri Payet has been in great form and Diafra Sakho has also been a huge threat off the bench. Michail Antonio is also on a fine goal scoring run.

Slaven Bilic’s side have won at Anfield, Emirates and the Etihad this season, a victory on Sunday would surprise no one. Or, perhaps there will be a replay at Upton Park, which could seriously irk LVG?!

West Ham will play a settled side. We expect Manchester United to rotate heavily. Juan Mata is suspended after his sending off at West Brom last weekend.

Predicted Manchester United XI: David De Gea, Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ander Herrera, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Memphis Depay & Anthony Martial.

Predicted West Ham XI: Adrian, Angelo Ogbonna, Reece Oxford, Cheikou Kouyate, Aaron Cresswell, Michail Antonio, Mark Noble, Pedro Obiang, Manuel Lanzini, Dimitri Payet & Emmanuel Emenike.

101 Great Goals prediction: Manchester United 1 – West Ham 2.
