Manchester United are set to return to Real Madrid with a final offer of €60m for Sergio Ramos, according to Madrid based newspaper AS.
The Red Devils have previously seen their €45m bid turned down as the two clubs continue to negotiate deals for David De Gea and Sergio Ramos.
Initially the vice captain, the 29 year old centre back became Real Madrid’s captain recently after Iker Casillas signed for Porto.
Sergio Ramos could become the most expensive defender of all time if ‘Los Blancos’ choose to accept the proposed €60m (£42m) bid from Louis van Gaal.
Real Madrid still refuse to meet the contract demands of Sergio Ramos and the player could potentially leave this summer after 10 years in Madrid.
Florentino Perez would have to seriously consider a bid of €60m but probably can’t afford to lose more fan support after recently selling fellow club legend Iker Casillas.
