Manchester United preparing club record £45m bid for Juve’s Arturo Vidal [Star]

Arturo Vidal’s summer has been like a homage to The Clash’s ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’, with the Chilean staying in Turin one minute, apparently on the cusp of leaving for Man United the next.

Despite recent signs pointing to any move being off, and with Vidal showing that he’s happy to stay, that hasn’t deterred United in the slightest, by the looks of it.

According to tomorrow’s Star, Louis van Gaal and the United hierarchy are ready to break the club’s record transfer fee, with a £45m bid for Vidal.

Beyond the potential bid and negotiations, the issue of Vidal’s knee still remains a sticking point, with a stringent medical required before any contract could be signed.
