Man United striker Chicharito is again linked with a move to Atletico Madrid [Marca]

Is Javier Hernandez going to start the new season as a Manchester United player?

Chicharito’s stock has plummeted in recent times after he began life at Old Trafford on a high, and reports keep coming out linking the Mexican forward with a move away from the Red Devils this summer.

One club who keep on getting linked to Chicharito are Atletico Madrid, and Marca reproduce that potential transfer deal in their paper on Thursday.

Noticeably, Javier Hernandez’s standing at United seemed to be confirmed when the striker was initially left out of the club’s American tour, however Louis van Gaal then changed his mind and Chicharito got a late call up to the States.

Being on the periphery at United, a move for Chicharito seems necessary to kickstart his career back into life, and Atletico Madrid are rumoured to want to El Tri forward to partner newly acquired Mario Mandzukic.

Marca quotes ESPN Mexico reporter Jorge Ramos, saying “The signing is not closed, but [Chicharito] may well end up at Atletico Madrid”.
