Manchester United reportedly had a £27m bid rejected earlier this week for 18 year old Southampton left back Luke Shaw.
According to the Guardian, Man United are preparing a second bid of £30m in the hope of landing the highly rated youngster.
The new offer will apparently go through once Louis Van Gaal is announced as the new manager.
The Guardian also report Man United would make the highest paid teenager in history, set to offer Luke Shaw £100,000 a week.
Man United may end up fighting off interest from Chelsea, who have also been linked to the Southampton star.
