Man United ready to offer ‘good money’ for Van Gaal favourite Jordy Clasie [El Confidencial]

Spanish site El Confidencial after predicting that Manchester United will make a move for Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie.

Reports linking Clasie, 22, with Old Trafford have been around for a few weeks after the story was first tabled by the Daily Star.

Holland take on Spain on Friday night, and one of the big talking points is the fact that Clasie is expected to line up in the Oranje midfielder to take on La Furia Roja.

El Confidencial take Clasie’s purported inclusion to reflect just how highly future Man United boss van Gaal rates him, and moreover as evidence that “van Gaal will undertake to bring him to Manchester United after the World Cup”.

The Spanish outlet continues to claim that “Clasie has been placed on the transfer wishlist” at United, and that “the little midfielder has seen his stock has risen considerably in recent times and it seems that United should offer a good amount of money”.

Clasie, who stands 5f 7in tall, is under contract at Feyenoord until 2016, and is rumoured to cost around 15 million pounds.

Clasie played 37 times for Feyenoord last season, scoring once and bagging eight assists.
