Cue the jokes about Anderson being overweight and out-of-shape!
Anderson left Manchester United to join Internacional in the January transfer window, and so far the midfielder has struggled to shine for his new employers.
He made his debut for Internacional against Cruzeiro last week, and the 26-year-old marked that occasion by coming on as a substitute in the second half, only to miss a penalty in the 74th minute.
On Tuesday night Anderson got another run out for Internacional in the Copa Libertadores against Bolivian side The Strongest, and again the ex-Man United man had a rough shift.
Anderson lasted just 36 minutes of the match in La Paz, before the midfielder needed to come off as he was totally exhausted. So bad was Anderson’s breathing issues, that he needed to inhale oxygen on the bench after his match ended.
La Paz is famed for causing altitude sickness as the city stands at over 3500m above sea level.
For the record, Internacional lost the match 3-1.
