Man United fans rage as news spreads that Ryan Giggs, not Jose Mourinho, will be next boss [Tweets]

Can the Mirror on Sunday be trusted?

No, probably not.

And yet, the story that Manchester United’s board have decided against appointing Jose Mourinho to be their new manager has spread fast this weekend.

The news is a major shock after weeks of stories pointing to the contrary. We’ve even had claims that United and Mourinho have signed a pre-agreement, included penalty terms if their union never comes to pass.

Saying that, it’s also true that rumours have been swirling for a while that the United’s board, particularly Sir Bobby Charlton, have been unconvinced that the Special One is the right man for their club.

Instead, the Mirror believe that Ryan Giggs will replace Louis van Gaal when the Dutchman leaves the club. Moreover, LVG is now expected to completed his full term at United, until the end of next season.

That news has gone down like a ton of bricks on social media.
