Last night Spanish newspaper AS claimed Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea had both began negotiations with Atletico Madrid over star winger Arda Turan.
The 28 year old Turkish international has a €41m release clause and his agent admitted that Turan would prefer a move to the Premier League.
Amidst plenty of speculation in the European press, Arda Turan took to Twitter on Sunday morning to offer some information regarding his future.
The Atletico Madrid star claimed the transfer rumours are not “entirely correct” but did admit that he is in talks with 3-4 clubs.
Reports emerged over the weekend that Arda Turan wants to leave Atletico because Diego Simeone works them too hard. If that is true, he won’t fare well under Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
Turan joined Atletico from Galatasaray in 2011 for an €11m fee and has enjoyed incredible success during his four years in La Liga.
See his tweet below in which he confirms various clubs interest.
The transfer rumors are not entirely correct. My agent is currently in touch with 3-4 clubs. I will update you all if a deal is made.
