Man City tipped for title after easy win at West Brom [Best Tweets]

Manchester City were this evening tipped to reclaim the Premier League title after cruising to a an emphatic 3-0 victory against West Brom at the Hawthorns.

Yaya Toure claimed City’s first goal after nine minutes although it may well end up going down as a David Silva goal. Jesus Navas broke free down the right hand side and picked out the Ivorian whose scuffed shot was probably going wide before taking a deflection off David Silva and into the West Brom net.

Despite there being some debate about the first goal there was certainly none about the second as Yaya Toure unleashed an unstoppable strike passed West Brom goalkeeper Boaz Myhill into the top corner on 24 minutes.

West Brom put up some resistance during the early stages of the second half but the Eastlands side put the game to bed after Vincent Kompany headed in from a corner on the 59th minute.

The manner in which Manchester City completed such a comprehensive victory prompted football fans to take to Twitter and make bold claims about Man City’s chances of Premier League glory this season.
