Luis Suarez’s Liverpool career in jeopardy after bite on Chiellini [Independent]

With Luis Suarez’s World Cup fate in the balance over his bite on Giorgio Chiellini on Tuesday, tomorrow’s Independent claims that the effect has already been felt back on Merseyside.

The Independent claim that Liverpool chiefs, having already backed Suarez over one bite (against Chelsea in 2013), they’re unlikely to stand by him over the repeated misdemeanor, with serious concern over the club’s tarnished image the first time around.

And with Real Madrid and Barcelona waiting in the wings to swoop for Suarez, the Independent claim that Liverpool may be prepared to sell their lot with Suarez this summer, and be willing to let him go once and for all.

But if Real Madrid and Barcelona would be willing to look past it, why would Liverpool be unable to?
