Lokomotiv midfielder Manuel Fernandes curled a beauty against Spartak in Moscow derby

Lokomotiv midfielder Manuel Fernandes looked to have won the Moscow derby against Spartak earlier when he opened the scoring with a beautifully placed goal in the 84th minute.

The Portuguese midfielder, who had spells at Everton and Valencia, played a neat one-two with former Spurs striker Roman Pavlyuchenko before curling the ball beyond the goalkeeper and into the top corner.

The lead lasted less than three minutes, however, as Roman Shirokov put the home side back on level terms with a header. It ended in a 1-1 draw.
