Liverpool’s Kolo Toure has given a 15 minute interview with PassionIslam.com in which the footballer discussed how his religion impacts his daily life.
Toure listed Allah and Islam as the most important parts of his life, followed by his family and then his football career.
Talking about his experience of being a Muslim in modern day football, Toure said that both Arsenal and Liverpool created spaces at their training facilities so that the defender could conduct his daily prayers in piece, whilst the Ivorian boasted that the clubs he has played for have all been tolerant and accommodating of his faith.
Toure said keeping Ramadan and being a footballer is “difficult” and “nobody is perfect, you know”.
