Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Liverpool and Manchester United are eying Inter Milan playmaker Mateo Kovacic.
The pink Italian newspaper run this suggestion both online and at the top of their front page today, see below.
Just 20-years-old, Kovacic shows great vision in the middle of the park but has had an up and down season for Inter Milan.
On Saturday, Kovacic bagged two brilliant assists in Inter’s win over Lazio but the former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder has not always started for the Nerazzurri.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are believed to have scouted Kovacic and been impressed with his ability on the ball and decision making to play the final pass.
However Inter president Erick Thohir is eager to build his side around Kovacic next season and it may take a humungous bid to secure his services.
Besides Liverpool and Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal are also linked with the young Croatian who potentially could be a star at the upcoming World Cup.
