The Europa League semi-final draw was made on Friday morning with the two legs set to take place on April 28th and May 5th.
Fresh from an incredible game against Borussia Dortmund, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool drew arguably the easiest team left in the competition – Villarreal.
Sitting 4th in La Liga, the Yellow Submarine have never faced Liverpool in their history but won’t be happy that the 2nd leg is to be played at Anfield.
Liverpool fans were rather pleased with the draw after avoiding the Europa League holders Sevilla and a tricky trip to Ukraine against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Following last night’s heroics, Liverpool fans were most pleased with knowing the 2nd leg would be played at Anfield. A difficult place to go whatever the score in the first leg.

Solid draw isn't it? We'll play the 2nd leg at Anfield again! #LFC

Decent draw for #LFC. Avoided the holders and a trip to Ukraine. Home second leg as well.

The best possible draw! Villarreal. At home second leg. And if we win we play in red in the final!

Happy with the draw, Villarreal aren't amazing but won't be a pushover either. Great to have the second leg at anfield.

We've failed as a club if we don't take a banner of Pierluigi Collina to Villarreal home & away

Villarreal 3 places and 12 points ahead of Sevilla. Are we underestimating them?

10 – Villarreal are winless in their last 10 games against English opposition (D6 L4). Underwater.
