If Liverpool fans weren’t furious before then they certainly are now. After declaring that there would be a walkout this weekend in protest of the raised ticket prices from next season onwards, club CEO Ian Ayre responded.
In an infuriatingly smug interview, Ayre defended the price changes, including the £77 tickets which inspire the 77th minute walkout, and claimed that there was a ticket price for every fan.
Watch the interview below and see the reaction to the delusional CEO’s comments in the tweets underneath.
…and here's me thinking Ian Ayre couldn't be anymore out of touch than he already is.
Who employed this divvy?

Someone should challenge Ian Ayre to try and buy one of these £9 tickets next season

If Ian Ayre thinks the prices are ok, that the protest is wrong and we are wrong, surely he would get in touch with the people he met with?

Ian Ayre hasn't really helped himself and FSG out. Apparently no one's being priced out

When was the last time there was a bonfire that Ian Ayre didn't pour petrol on?

Ian Ayre says fan base are old and only local fans make the atmosphere. Does he not realise @lfc is a global brand. Disgusting comments!
