Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf report on Monday that Liverpool have contacted PSV over signing highly-rated but troubled winger Zakaria Bakkali.
PSV are keen to sell the rebellious winger, who has refused to sign a new deal in Eindhoven.
Liverpool are not the only club interested, Eintracht Frankfurt have also made an inquiry and FC Porto are attempting to include Bakkali in a deal that would take Steven Defour to PSV.
Bakkali has been linked with Liverpool, as well as Spurs and Arsenal for some time now, having emerged last August with a hat-trick against NEC in the Eredivisie.
Since the hat-trick, Bakkali barely played for PSV and looks certain to leave the club this summer.
Liverpool have been very busy in the transfer market, having already signed Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are also expected to bring in Dejan Lovren, Loic Remy and Divock Origi this week.
