Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers: ‘Origi stays at Lille until next season, we’ve never considered January’ [Video]

With Liverpool suffering a striking crisis of epic proportions, there have been reports that they want to get loanee Divock Origi back to the club in January, rather than waiting until next season.

Indeed, some reports have suggested Liverpool would be willing to double their fee to 20 million pounds just to get his services 6 months earlier than agreed.

But manager Brendan Rodgers rubbished that story at his pre-Crystal Palace press conference, saying that they’ve never even considered that scenario.

Rodgers says that Origi remaining at Lille for one more season was core to the deal, and one of the main reasons they were even able to sign him, so they won’t be looking to change that.
