LA return to their losing ways in Chicago; Goals from the CONCACAF Champions League

Chicago Fire 3 – LA Galaxy 1 (MLS, September 25, 2008) Chris Rolfe put the Fire ahead in the 13th minute, only for Eddie Lewis to equalise later on in the first half. The Fire took their second lead of the game in the 57th minute when Blanco scored his first goal in 17 games after a defensive blunder by the Galaxy keeper and centre back. Less than two minutes later Rolfe sealed the win firing home the third.

Pumas UNAM 3 – Luis Angel Firpo 0 (CONCACAF Champions League, September 24, 2008) Cabrera opened the scoring for the Mexican team in the 11th minute on a cross from Chiapas, and added another goal in the 37th with a powerful shot inside the box. Orlando Pineda found the net in the 35th from a cross from Cacho.
