Tottenham’s Andros Townsend was involved in two major penalty flashpoints during Spurs’ match with Swansea on Sunday.
Moments before the end of the first period Townsend, who holds the Premier League record of the most successful dribbles in one EPL game (11), was bundled over in the Swansea box by Jonjo Shelvey.
Shelvey made no contact with the ball, caused the Spurs winger to fall in the box, but the referee waved away the solid penalty shout.
In the 57th minute Townsend hit the deck for a second time in the Swansea box and on this occasion the penalty was given.
The irony? Townsend was accused of taking a dive in the Swansea box, and the Welshman were the ones left grieving an injustice after Roberto Soldado scored his second penalty since jetting into the English top flight.
Footage of the two Andros Townsend penalty incidents are below, together with a series of Tweets labelling the Tottenham man a cheat.

What a horrible penalty call. Couldn’t have been a more obvious dive by Townsend. This ref is a scrub #BPLonNBC

Definite dive from Townsend there, but Spurs should have had a penalty in first half so two wrongs made a right?
