Arsenal travel to Chelsea on Sunday, for the first time since last year’s 0-6 hammering at the Bridge.
The eve of that game was marked by Jose Mourinho’s nasty remark about Arsene Wenger, who he dubbed as a ‘specialist in failure’ at his pre-match conference.
That brought relations between the managers to a new low; there was already plenty of residual beef from Mourinho’s first stint at Chelsea.
At today’s presser, Mourinho was asked whether he’d be extending the olive branch to his French foe, but he wasn’t forthcoming, saying
‘There’s no need to apologize.
That comment didn’t just come out of nothing; it was the consequence of something….I didn’t get an apology, and I don’t need one, so I prefer to move on and look forward.’
