Bad news for Bayern Munich.
Even worse news for Javi Martinez.
The Spanish international has today been reported with a fresh injury that according to Sport1 would keep that defender out for a few weeks.
According to the updates, Martinez requires an operation on his left knee.
He’ll obviously be missing from today’s match between Bayern and Hoffenheim.
Original reports had Javi Martinez out for both legs of the Champions League last-16 tie with Juventus.
Soon after, however, reports filtered out that the player is also now a doubt for Euro 2016.
If true, that’s terrible news for the 27-year-old, who has been dogged by injuries in recent seasons.
Adding to the bad news for Bayern, they have also lost Jerome Boateng, while fellow defenders Medhi Benatia, Rafinha and Juan Bernat are also on the sidelines with injuries.
Could Bayern make a late move in the transfer window?

The devastating news contributes. Bayern now have one CB, and that's Badstuber. How long until one of his injuries comes back?

That Javi Martinez news escalated quickly. From missing the first leg to missing the rest of the season AND Euros. Sucks.
