He’s on fire! Emmanuel Adebayor scores his 4th Tottenham goal of the season at Manchester United [Vine]

No-one at Tottenham appears to have profitted more from the departure of Andre Villas-Boas than Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togolese striker was a non-entity for the majority of AVB’s tenure at White Hart Lane, with Adebayor relegated to training with the youth squad as the former Manchester City and Arsenal striker failed to get a look-in at Spurs.

While Adebayor’s attitude was brought into question by Villas-Boas, many have always though the forward’s talents have remained in tact, and under new boss Tim Sherwood the 29-year-old is blossoming once more.

The Tottenham #10 opened the scoring at Manchester United with a terrific header across David De Gea’s goal in the 34th minute. Ade’s header came from a lovely right-sided cross from the ever improving Christian Eriksen.

That header was Emmanuel Adebayor ‘s fourth Tottenham goal of the season. All the forward’s strikes have come since AVB’s farewell.
