Harry Redknapp calls a truce: ‘I’ve been Adel Taarabt’s biggest ally, but he needs to start doing his job’ [Video]

An unseemly feud has broken out between Harry Redknapp and Adel Taarabt at QPR, which pretty much reflects the disastrous start to the season they’re having.

The Moroccan Magician has been ostracized from the QPR squad for being – in ‘Arry’s words – ‘3 stone overweight’ – which provoked a backlash from the player himself, who did an interview with the Mail showing he’s far from overweight, and criticizing his manager for barely even watching what happens at training.

After the damage done over the week, ‘Arry called for a truce at his pre-Aston Villa pres conference, saying he’s been ‘Adel’s biggest ally over the years’, but ‘the only person who can help Adel Taarabt is Adel Taarabt’.

Redknapp was keen to draw a line under the feud and put it to bed, saying that there’s no beef between himself and Taarabt, and that things were said in the heat of the moment.

The QPR boss stressed that Adel just needs to get back training and working hard and that once he does that, there’s no reason why he won’t be back in the team.

Almost tragi-comically after what’s gone on all week, Taarabt couldn’t train all week because of a ‘sore throat’ (**cough**), and so won’t be in the squad for Villa.

The saga continues.
