Hannover’s Allan Saint-Maximin crashed into a tram, showed a fake licence to police [Sport1]

Allan Saint Maximin, a 19-year-old French winger who is on loan at Hannover from AS Monaco, is now in a world of trouble after a car accident.

German news outlet Sport1 report that Saint-Maximin had a crash with a tram.

When he was asked to produce a valid driving licence, the teenager couldn’t do it. Instead he presented a fake driving licence.

The matter is now in the hands of local police, who have told Sport1 that the footballer is “under suspicion of forgery, driving without a license and negligent injury.”

One person was injured in the accident.

Saint-Maximin is just the latest German footballer to experience car problems.

His former team mate Marcelo, now on loan at Besiktas, had to pay a 30,000 euro fine in February for driving without a valid licence.

Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus also had to pay a massive €540,000 fine after he was caught driving without a licence.
