Guus Hiddink had a few interesting things to say about Eden Hazard today in the wake of Roy Keane’s comments about how he would treat him if they were on the same team. It wasn’t dissimilar to how he treated his opponents.
The Chelsea boss isn’t about to start kicking Hazard up and down the pitch but would like him to step up his game.
He actually described an impressive piece of play by the Belgian in the defeat to Paris Saint-Germain as something that ‘the old Hazard’ would have done. It really shows how far the reigning PFA Player of the Year has fallen.
Despite this dramatic loss of form, Chelsea don’t want to sell. Hazard doesn’t want to leave either, according to Hiddink, who pointed to a recent contract extension as evidence of how happy he is at the club.
