A sad piece of graffiti was spotted near Liverpool’s Anfield stadium on Sunday before the huge Premier League match with Manchester United.
55 years ago the world was in a state of shock as Manchester United’s ‘Busby babes’ were involved in a fatal air accident in the Munich air disaster.
That event has been used as the source of “humour” for some unknown Liverpool fans who tagged a white wall with “Munich 58” right next to a picture of Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge doing his famous flappy arms dancing goal celebration.
The image of the graffiti comes just two days ago Liverpool apologised after their official Twitter account endorsed a Munich disaster mockery tweet.
