Fluminense have confirmed the sale of Robert Kenedy Nunes do Nascimento, better known simply as Kenedy.
The 19-year old is one of the hottest prospects in world football, and has been tracked for some time by the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.
And although the Rio club are keeping tight-lipped about Kenedy’s destination, O Globo have already sussed it out, and report Chelsea as the team who’ve landed the starlet’s signature.
Which means that Kenedy will join the already sizable contingent of Brazilians at Chelsea – Willian, Oscar, Filipe Luis, Diego Costa (by birth).
O Globo claim that Kenedy has actually been sold to a third party group, who will then move the player on to Chelsea – which would explain the ambiguous Tweet, which failed to mention which club Kenedy’s been sold to.
Kenedy was due to represent Brazil at the U20 World Cup, but had to forfeit due to appendicitis.
Kenedy não é mais jogador do Fluminense. Além do dinheiro da venda, o clube acertou a aquisição do volante Edson por três anos.
