Five tweets explaining Everton’s move for Lokomotiv Moscow striker Oumar Niasse

It’s fair to say he has an in-depth knowledge of Russian football, and he’s used that to post five excellent tweets on the news that Everton are signing Lokomotiv Moscow striker Oumar Niasse for £13.5m.

The news was broken by the Guardian on Saturday, with the deal reportedly a lock.

You can hear the locals now. ‘Who?’

Niasse is a 25-year-old forward, who was voted Russia’s player of the year in 2015.

But aren’t Everton’s bigger problems at the back?

Leaving that to one side, Niasse is a man in form, having scored 12 goals and grabbing ten assists in his 21 matches for the Russian side this season.

But how will he fit into Everton’s current setup. Can he dovetail with Romelu Lukaku? And is he any better than Arouna Kone?
