On Monday FC Zurich’s president Ancillo Canepa lodged legal proceedings for intentional injury against Wieser, who in turn denied any intention and apologised for his actions.
Sandro Wieser wrote on his Facebook page “I totally regret what happened. There was absolutely no intent on my part.
“I’ve had a lot of experience with injury and I don’t wish that on anyone.”
