We’re not exactly sure who FC Afrika are, by the latest football channel to appear on YouTube today reveals a host of new colourful viral videos in which Arsenal, Spurs, Pompey, and Stoke all involve their squads to create awareness on a variety of issues.
Arsenal stars Johan Djourou, Emmanuel Eboue and Alexandre Song all participate in the “Arsenal vs Malaria” theme in which the footballers explain how vital mosquito nets are in the fight to contain the illness. The Stoke team also lend a helping hand to the malaria issue too, with the squad creating a specific comedy goal-celebration on the topic which they say they’ll perform next time the Potters score a goal. Over at Tottenham, beanpole striker Peter Crouch lead the way by informing his teammates about the education problems in Africa. In order to spread their message of the importance of education, after Wilson Palacios scored in training the team showed off their new goal celebration which the Lilywhites also claimed they’ll roll out next time they score. Portsmouth were also involved in the FA Afrika campaign, with John Utaka leading the discussion on the south coast about how locals with HIV are detected and treated. After explaining the testing process, Utaka and his Pompey cohorts also made up a new goal-celebration based on the whole HIV topic. (Watch here.)
