Nice winger Hatem Ben Arfa looks set for a sensational move to Spanish giants Barcelona, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
The 29-year-old Frenchman is visiting the club’s training facilities today, having reportedly travelled to Barcelona last week for contract discussions.
The former Newcastle United star will be a free agent this summer and Luis Enrique sees him as good-back up to the current Barcelona attacking trio of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Released from Newcastle in January 2015, Ben Arfa was without a club for six months but has performed magnificently back in Ligue Un this season.
He has scored 18 goals for Nice this season and has a number of potential European suitors trailing him ahead of Euro 2016.
Signing for Barcelona would give Hatem Ben Arfa the opportunity to play Champions League football for the first time since leaving Marseille in 2010.
