Ex-Man United men Gary Neville & Edwin van der Sar criticise Liverpool’s Mignolet for the Negredo goal [Tweets]

Former Manchester United teammates Gary Neville and Edwin van der Sar had a go at Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet for the manner in which Man City took a 2-1 lead against the Reds.

After Liverpool had gone ahead at the Etihad, City roared back to life in the first half of the Boxing Day fixture when goals from Vincent Kompany and Alvaro Negredo turned the scoreline on it’s head.

Negredo bagged the go-ahead goal just before the interval when a sweeping home attack resulted in the Spaniard beating Liverpool’s keeper Mignolet with a high shot that the keeper should had done better with.

After watching the goal on TV, Neville blasted the Liverpool number one on Twitter and former Dutch international keeper Edwin van der Sar also quickly got involved, together with Jan Aage Fjortoft.
