Ex-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers rules out managing Man United (Talksport Audio)

Rodgers lost all three games against Van Gaal

Brendan Rodgers’ media comeback has continued today, as the former Liverpool boss spoke to Talksport for just under 20 minutes.

After spending several minutes discussing Liverpool’s League Cup win over Stoke to reach Wembley, a variety of other topics were chewed over with the Northern Irish manager.

Rodgers dismissed claims Jurgen Klopp doesn’t rate Christian Benteke, revealing that the German tried to sign the Belgian striker when he was at Borussia Dortmund.

In happy news for Manchester United fans, Rodgers also said he would have no intention of replacing Louis van Gaal at Man United should the Dutch boss be sacked:

When you manage Liverpool you know the Manchester United job is gone.
