Ex-Arsenal goalie Mad Jens Lehmann in confrontation with fan

It is time to be honest here, Jens Lehmann is comedy gold and at 101gg HQ we hope he never retires.

Lehmann’s toilet break in Stuttgart’s match in the Champions League on Wednesday has now passed into history after the former Arsenal custodian was responsible for Stuttgart giving up a 1-0 lead at Mainz in the final minute of the Bundesliga match yesterday as he received his marching orders after giving away a needless penalty.

As ever with Lehmann, this was not the end of it. The former Germany keeper fled the stadium in a rage and was confronted by a fan on his way out.

Mad Jens stole the glasses from the face of the fan and preceded to walk off with the spectacles and only gave them back when another supporter pleaded for them.

The latest bizarre incident to involve Jens Lehmann can be seen here.

Reports in Germany add that Lehmann then called for a taxi before getting on the Stuttgart team bus, before having another change of mind and then went to Frankfurt airport where he flew back to his family in Munich.
