Out of Euro 2016, Man City’s injured Vincent Kompany gets more horrible news

Poor Vincent Kompany.

Horrible news came out on Saturday night regarding Manchester City and Belgium centre-half Vincent Kompany.

Kompany was subbed in the first half of the Sky Blues defeat at Real Madrid in the Champions League last week.

It’s now been confirm that Kompany is out of Euro 2016. The player has himself confirmed his injury setback on Facebook.

That’s a major blow for the Red Devils, who face off against Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden in Group E.

The extent of Kompany’s injury is now becoming clearer, and it’s not good news.

It’s now been reported that one of Kompany’s thigh muscles is completely torn.

That’s put him out of action for four months, or 16 long weeks.

Will he ever get back to full fitness?

What seems clear is that Pep Guardiola will now be searching for a new centre-back this summer to compensate for Kompany’s long term absence.
