ESPN’s EPL Midweek Preview: Liverpool-Sunderland, Portsmouth-Chelsea & West Brom-Arsenal

ESPN favourites Tommy Smyth and Shaka Hislop have got together to preview Tuesday night’s action in the Premier League.

Kicking off their analysis with Liverpool-Sunderland, the Auld Onion Bag commented that “if Liverpool had as much fight on the field as they do off it they’d be in pretty good shape.” Shaka twisted the knife in saying that Liverpool’s “problems are of their own making” and if they fail to beat the Black Cats tonight then “they can kiss their dwindling hopes of Premier League supremacy goodbye.”

The negativity continued as conversation moved onto Chelsea’s visit to Portsmouth. Paying lip-service to Hiddink’s good start, Hislop farted that he remains unconvinced by the Anelka-Drogba partnership up top before concluding that the Blues should have too much for Pompey to win.

Lastly on Arsenal, the talking-heads moaned about the Gunners recently inability to put the ball in the net, with Shaka sticking his neck out predicting that the Wenger Boys will run out victorious over the Baggies.
