Adebayor’s departure was a huge blow.

The Togo striker has been a revelation under Tim Sherwood and has looked like a reborn player.

After the game Spurs coach Tim Sherwood admitted he didn’t know what was wrong with Adebayor and said he was “bruised all over.”

On Thursday, Adebayor informed a follower of his on Twitter that the injury is “not bad at all… Hopefully be back before you realise!!!”

Which suggests we could well see Adebayor at his old stomping ground of the Emirates on Saturday in the mouth watering FA Cup 3rd round North London derby.
