Has a Manchester United v Chelsea fixture ever been greeted with less enthusiasm than the Premier League game which will be played on Monday night?
It certainly feels like a long time since we have seen teams from Manchester United and Chelsea look as bad as they do right now.
If Louis van Gaal is in charge of Manchester United at kick off on Monday night, we can expect a very angry Old Trafford with two seriously out of form teams going head to head.
Despite Ryan Giggs taking training on Sunday at Carrington, Louis van Gaal has turned up to The Lowry tonight and is expected to be on the bench for the game, which could well be his last at Manchester United.
Whilst United haven’t won in seven matches, Chelsea have won one Premier League game in their last five matches.
Coming into the match, Chelsea are still in relegation trouble, just two points off the drop zone and Manchester United are sixth, floundering in the race for the top four.
As a result, whilst the respective clubs have been bigging up the game on their social media accounts fans have christened this clash with some cheeky names.
So far El Sh*tico & El Boringo are the highlights, going along the El Clasico theme, expect a few more zingers as tomorrow night’s potential snooze fest comes ever closer.
I have a feeling both United and Chelsea will find a way to lose tomorrow.
