FC Barcelona have today officially signed Robert Goncalves from Fluminense.
The 19-year-old will begin his career in Spain with the Barcelona’s B side.
The Brazilian has signed a loan deal until June 30, 2016.
Robert Goncalves is an attacking midfielder, who plays behind the striker.
He’s made nine appearances for Fluminense, while he’s scored twice.
The midfielder came through Fluminense’s academy and made his first-team debut at the age of 17 in 2013 but did not feature at all in 2014 after being involved in a serious car crash.
Sport have confirmed that Robert Goncalves has arrived at Barcelona, and he will participate in his first training session on Thursday.
While the Barcelona senior team is arguably the most coveted team to be on in the world, the Barca II team is not.
They are currently third bottom of the Spanish second division, and they stink.
They’ve only one twice in their last nine matches despite having players like Álex Grimaldo, Sergi Samper and Jean Marie Dongou in their team.
